Fitbit | Healthy Habits

I am a big believer that small lifestyle changes can have a huge impact on your health. This October I’ve partnered with Fitbit and I’m going to see if tracking my everyday activity, using the FitBit Surge 2, will help me to reach my goals. I have three healthy habits that I am going to track.

Winter Workout X Stylist Magazine.

Earlier this year I teamed up with Stylist magazine to share my top tips for winter training. It can be hard to motivate yourself when it’s grey and cold outside, here’s how I’m planning to keep on track. Take Time For You – We all have mega busy lives. Don’t let work, kids, and other commitments stop you from training. Going out for a run or an hour yoga class may be the only hour of the day that you’re doing something for yourself. Make it a priority, you’ll feel happier and more energised when you return. Make Fitness Fit – Make fitness a part of your everyday lifestyle, instead of another thing on your to-do lis. For example – Walk, rather than drive the kids to school and if they have scooters, put on your trainers and jog along side them.  That Feeling – One of the best things about HIIT is the feeling that you get afterwards. It really boosts your mood. Winter can make us feel sleepy and lethargic , but HIIT …

The latest …

It’s been a mega busy month so I thought I’d share what I’ve been up to lately … Running. I took a break from running, after my summer run challenge I needed to give my legs a rest. I’ve been going to reformer pilates, which I LOVE! I’m really missing running though, especially as Autumn is so gorgeous and it’s no too cold yet. I can’t wait to lace up and get back out there asap. I’m also looking for my next RUNbeautiful adventure! Sport Style Shoot. Last week I met up with a photographer, @tomjoyphoto. I have Instagram to thank for this union. I absolutely loved shooting around east London with Tom, we had very similar ideas on style and mood for the shoot. Here’s one of my faves … Clearly I’m still taking outfit inspiration from ‘The Get Down’ If you follow me on snapchat then you’ll know that I’m obsessed!. … more photos from Tom coming soon. Team ELLE Fit. I took the ELLE magazine team to Green Park for a lunch time …

#CrossTheLine

So, when it comes to running, I’ve discovered that 10k is the perfect race distance for me. I’m totally amazed by marathon runners, I admire their dedication because I know the training is not only time consuming but also mega tough on the body. I don’t know if I’d ever be able to complete a marathon and I think I would just hate the training. I always tell people that when it comes to fitness you should do what you love. I enjoy running shorter speedy races, 10k races are perfect for me. This weekend I’ll be racing again, here’s how I’m preparing to cross the finish line. FUEL Pre race fuel is mega important, I will be starting the day with porridge and a banana and date smoothie. I’ll start increasing my water intake the day before the race and on the way to the race I’ll grab a Bounce ball or Nakd bar as well. TRAINING I know it sounds boring but consistency is key! I’ve been running longer slow steady runs as …

Sweaty Betty – The Contour Leggings

I was recently quoted in Women’s Health magazine saying ‘Life’s too short for boring black leggings’. Well, Sweaty Betty must have got the memo! These fire print leggings are anything but boring. I met up with the SB team to showcase three ways to style the leggings from street to sport. First up, I’ve teamed the leggings with a black biker jacket, backpack and grey vest top. The leggings are loud, the darker colours add a contrast. As you can see from the above photo, the high visibility will also ensure that you are safe when posing in the middle of the road! Very important.          Next up, a denim dress and pumps. When it’s hot in London, it usually only lasts for about one week so make the most of it! Go on, be brave, crop tops are making a come back! Last but not least. Mum on the run! A Beyonce playlist will help you feel awesome when your running in fire print! You can shop the Contour leggings at SweatyBetty Share …

Stella McCartney adidas AW16 Collection.

Today I kickstarted my morning at Another Space gym in London for the launch of the Stella McCartney adidas autumn/ winter 16 collection. We were joined by non other than supermodel MEGA babe Karlie Kloss! If you follow Karlie on snapchat then you’ll know that she is no stranger to the gym. She’s super dedicated and her training looks tough. As a high school student, before becoming a high fashion model, Victoria Secret angel and BFF to Taylor Swift, Karlie was very active and sporty. She attended dance classes, played team sports as well as running and swimming. Karlie is a role model to so many women around the world and now she is the face of the latest Stella campaign. I arrived at the gym at 7am and changed into my new kit. As a lover of both fitness and fashion, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Friday! Our workout was split into two twenty minute classes. A boxing inspired HIIT class, followed by a short spinning session. The studio …

#ELLEfit

As a lover of all things fitness and fashion, I was mega happy to be invited to the ELLE magazine HQ to lead their team on a lunch time workout. I have been an ELLE subscriber for as long as I can remember and I love that ELLE regularly talks about women’s health, fitness and sport. High fashion brands often have a bed reputation when it comes to promoting a ‘healthy’ body image. It’s encouraging to see that the team at ELLE are inspiring women across the world to be healthy, active and to stay fit. Last month I attended a talk hosted by ELLE at Selfridges in London. The panel of incredible women, including Lorraine Candy and Sophie Everard, were discussing sport and how female leaders and role models can encourage the next generation to access and participate in sport. It frustrates me so much that there is still a huge gap in gender equality within sport. Thank you ELLE for waving the flag for us gals! I met the ELLE team at their …

Adidas Buddy Workout

This month I have teamed up with Tally Rye and adidas UK to create a series of Buddy Workouts. Together, we are #HereToCreate some fitness fun moves and give your summer workout a boost! It’s so much more fun to workout with a friend, so Tally and I have created four short videos to showcase our favourite moves. As it’s a parter workout, you will need to grab a friend for support, literally! You don’t need to go to the gym for this session, you can do these moves anywhere. Visit the adidaswomenuk Facebook page to see our full video series. Tag a fitness friend that needs some motivation this week. Tally and I had so much fun creating these videos and my whole body was aching the next day! (You can see a behind the scenes video over on Tally’s YouTube channel. . . here) Also, head to instagram and search #HereToCreate for some awesome adidas fitspo!
